AZFamily reported that Mesa Fire and Medical Department crews responded around 5:30 p.m. The warehouse fire near Elliot and Ellsworth roads escalated to a second alarm, drawing almost 30 crews from across the Valley. Officials told the station that motorcycles and ATVs were burning inside and that firefighters used an aerial water stream when ground hoses could not bring the flames under control.

The smoke plume was visible from several miles away across southeast Mesa. The emergency response centered on the dealership's entrance and the surrounding Elliot Gateway property.
