Who operates this website
East Valley Explorer operates eastvalleyexplorer.com. For questions about your information, email hello@eastvalleyexplorer.com. Our contact page explains how to request help, corrections, or a review of your records.
Information you provide
Newsletter signup asks for your email address to receive East Valley Explorer. We store the signup source, request and confirmation times, subscription status, consent records, and a snapshot of requested subscriptions and their disclosure versions for each confirmation request. Request times are also used to limit repeat confirmation mail. Signup records can include a hash derived from the requesting IP address; a hash does not make that information anonymous.
Earlier signup records may also include an optional first name and community newsletter subscriptions. You can review or change those subscriptions through a private preference link.
Referral requests collect your name, email, phone number, community, ZIP code, and the service details you enter. These can include timing, property needs, budget, financing information, and free-text details. Please leave out passwords, payment-card numbers, government identifiers, and information that is unnecessary for the referral.
If you email us, your message and contact details are available to the people handling your request. Our operational records can also include contact notes, referral progress, email recipients and message contents, and delivery feedback.
How we use and share information
We use this information to manage newsletter subscriptions, send confirmation and requested service messages, respond to questions, arrange referrals, prevent abuse, and manage delivery failures. Creating a contact record or submitting a referral does not grant newsletter permission. Newsletter mail requires confirmation for the requested subscription.
When you authorize a referral, the professional receiving it can see your name, email, phone number, ZIP code, requested service, timing, and relevant details. We may receive compensation if you work with a referred provider. A provider handles information it receives under its own practices. Details already shared cannot be recalled by withdrawing your request; contact us if you want us to stop further referral activity.
The site and application use Microsoft Azure hosting and a SQL Server database. Brevo is the current email delivery integration; the application also supports SendGrid if the operator changes providers. The configured provider receives recipient addresses and email contents, and can return delivery, bounce, complaint, unsubscribe, open, or click feedback. Email tracking depends on the provider and account settings.
Website analytics and cookies
Public pages use Google Analytics 4 to measure page visits and use of features such as newsletter signup, referrals, and the day planner. Google Analytics can use cookies to distinguish browsers and collect device, browser, session, and approximate location information. Our custom signup and referral event fields exclude the contact details entered into those forms.
Secure confirmation, preference, unsubscribe, and referral handoff pages are excluded from Google Analytics. External links, including social-media links, take you to services with their own privacy practices.
This site does not currently offer an on-site analytics consent or opt-out control. You can manage cookies in your browser, use a content blocker, or review Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. See Google's data collection explanation for information about its service.
Retention and deletion requests
There is currently no automatic cleanup schedule for pending signups, consent records, referral records, stored email content, or delivery events. These records remain unless manually removed. Secure links expire, but expiry does not delete the associated records.
Stopping all newsletters records a durable marketing withdrawal using the keyed address evidence described below. It survives profile removal and import and cancels pending confirmations and unstarted newsletter marketing. Separately requested operational mail can still be sent unless technical delivery or erasure blocks apply. Restart requires a newly requested verified preference link, an explicit restart choice, and fresh confirmation. There is no automatic expiry for the stop; that verified restart removes only the marketing withdrawal category. Historical topic consent events keep their captured disclosure versions.
Unsubscribing changes newsletter permission; it does not delete your contact profile or delivery history. When approved and configured, the contact erasure process removes the profile and associated records, invalidates its secure links, cancels unsent associated messages, and clears retained recipient addresses and message contents. It retains keyed address fingerprints, block categories, reason and origin codes, and timestamps to prevent further email and reintroduction of blocked addresses. These fingerprints remain sensitive data and are not anonymous. No automatic expiry for this suppression evidence is currently configured. Erasure can be held for review if legacy message ownership cannot be established or required safeguards are unavailable. Backup and provider systems may retain other copies; provider-accepted messages cannot be recalled. We do not promise immediate or complete erasure from every system.
Email hello@eastvalleyexplorer.com to ask about access, correction, or deletion. Describe the request and, where possible, write from the address used for the signup or referral. We may need to verify that the records belong to you before disclosing or changing them.
